ANGELA in Image Comics
She's beautiful,deadly and 100,000 years old. Angela is a hunter, one of few angels to have been granted permits to hunt Hellspawn as part of Heaven's cold war with Hell. She has been ruthless in her quest to rid the Earth of the Malebolgia's creatures and has only failed to kill one :Al Simmons. Whether by weakness or some other reason, she has let this Hellspawn continue to live.
She is able to wander the cosmos at whim,riding the Flux to transport her from place to place and plane to plane. However,many of her work assignments have focused on the planet Earth. It is there that most of Hellspawn have appeared, so she's gone where the hunting is. She keeps her skills honed by hunting other impossibly dangerous creatures,keeping herself challenged while she waits for the paperwork to come through on her Spawn permits.
Angela comes from Elysium,the first level of the Seven Heaven's closest to God. It is there that all of the bureaucratic work is handled,where the angels get their hands dirty doing God's bidding. Her form is that of a human female,like all of the angels there,possibly the result of the spontaenous asethsthetic whilm on the Creator's part. But the form hides her true power and strength,to better canouflage her imtentions from her targets.
She has fought the current Hellspawn once,and yet he came to her aid during her trial for treason in Heaven. She is still puzzled by the turn of events. Her treatment at the hands of Gabrielle,then-ambassador from Heaven to Earth,as well as her contradictory encounters with Spawn, helped her decide to leave Elysium and go freelance. It is something generally not done, since angels don't only belong to Heaven but are part of the Creator directly. But Angela is one-of-a-kind.
Currently Angela and her friends Kuan-Yin and Anahita,angels also,are wandering the universes in search of freelance works. However, one thing remains nagging her thoughts. Thouah she was from Heaven,Al Simmons from Hell,both have the same mercenary nature,and shared something special. the two are closer then she world care to admit.

Centures ago,Asgardian King Odin secretly hired the Angels of Heaven - a blissful realm of advanced technology and skilled spies,assassins,soldiers,and hunters - to protect Earth(Midgard) from rogue Asgardians who were mistreating it. When Odin leamed the Angel queen had also sold strategics to Asgard's enemies in the Ten world,he confronted the queen, who damanded Odin pay her to ally with Asgard. When Angel assassins later broke through Asagard's defences and kidnapped Odin's newborn infant daughter,Aldrif Odinsdottir, the Angel queen stabbed the infant through the heart. Odin furiously banished Heaven from known exstence and erased all memory on the Tenth World. However,the handmaiden charged with disposing of Aldrif's corpse realized she still lived and raised her as Angela,hiddngher Asgardian origins. The impatient,brash and curt girl became Jeaven's greatest hunter,providing sustence for the Angels; at some point, Angela received red facial designs of unrevealed purpose. While growing,Angela was told stories of Earth, which she believed wre myth,and raised to do nothing without receiveing momey of trade. Much later,various Earth being overused time travel,causing tears throughout time and space. During a hunt,Angela was pulled through a fissure,riding the head of her giant prey. Arriving near Earth's moon,Angela was shocked to see Earth. Star-Lord(peter Quill)'s Guardians of the galaxy detected Angela approaching Earth and attacked her,ultimately capturing her om the Moon when a lightning bolt from Quill's element gun causeed her to collapse;afterward,the all-seeing Uatu the watcher broke his vow of non-interference to identity her as Angela. After speaking with Angela,Star-Lord lether go with a warning to not attack Earth. While Angela observed new York City,Star-Lord and Iron Man(Tony Stark) gave her a Guadians communicator,offening her future help;Angela subsequently flew away,humblrd by the purchased gift.
Later,Angela helped the Guardians oppose death-worshipping Thanos'Earth invasion,despite receiving no profit;Quill subsequently promissd to help her return to Heven.Afterward,sfe accompanied Guardian Gamera to the planet moord to seek Thanos amongst the reptilian Badoon race,and became her friend. During a subsequent battle,a Badoon slave tradwe implied the Badoon had an arrangement with Angela's people,but Angela,already angered by thr slave trade,unintentionally killed him before he could explain. After obtaining the slain Uatu's eye,the mercenary Orb caused it to reveal hidden secrets; Odin's son,the thunder god and Avenger Thor,leamed of Aldrif's existence. Told of his sister's seeming death by his adoptive,Frigga,Thor and his adoptive brother,Loki,joumeyed to heaven and were attacked by Angels upon realizing their Asgard orisins; leaming of Heaven's entrance,Angela rushed there and defeated Thor,each unaware they were siblings. Feigning an allance,Loki assised the Angel queen im planning an invasion of Asgard,but instead helped destroy Heaven's fleet and retrieved Odin from a self-imposed exile. When Odin enterd Heaven,he recognized Angela as Aldrif,bowed to the daughter he thought lost and refused to do battle;the Angel queen was shocked to lwam Aldrif lived. Angela's childhood rearing intact,she rejected Odin's pleas of reconciliation and swore be kill him when next they met. After Odin and his sons departed,Heaven's Angels rejected Angela for being Asgardian;she subsequeently left Heaven to find her place in the Tenth Worlds.
